SAP NetWeaver BW is SAP Business Warehouse on the SAP NetWeaver stack. That is the product people shorthand as BW NW. SAP BW powered by SAP HANA is the same product running on HANA. SAP BW/4HANA is the successor, and we treat it as its own system.
What the consulting covers
- Models and queries: InfoProviders, transformations, and the BEx layer finance still opens.
- SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA as sources: extractors and the agreement between the ERP document and the warehouse number.
- Planning on top: SAP BPC Embedded and Standard, and Analysis for Office, when the warehouse and the plan share a spine.
When the warehouse has moved, the engagement is SAP BW/4HANA or SAP Datasphere. We name the product we are actually working on.
