A multinational mining group needed sustainability planning that the business could run, and support through the first cycles after go-live. The risk was a plan that existed beside the close and was never trusted in the pack.
Sustainability planning is still financial planning. The numbers have to land in the same rhythm as the rest of the close, or they become a side system nobody trusts. The plan had to live where the rest of planning lives, on Analytics Cloud, so the business was not asked to maintain a second calendar.
A planning solution the business could run independently, followed by hypercare through a stable go-live. The work was the model, the planning cycle, and the period after cutover, scoped together.
Go-live is not the last workshop. We stayed through hypercare and the first reporting periods, until the team was running the plan without the project holding it up. A stable go-live means the next cycle starts from the system, not from a handover document.
