SvelteKit is the interface of the operational PWAs we build and host. The app installs from the browser. There is no app store.
Where it shows up
- Mountain Ridge Wines: pooling, vintage and harvest logic, budgeting, and commercial invoicing, on desktop and phone.
- Operational screens: the views people use in a close, a harvest, or a planning cycle.
- The same app on a phone: one progressive web app, so a cellar or a finance desk does not need a separate mobile build.
Why SvelteKit for this work
- The UI stays small, which matters when the app is used on a phone in the field
- The operational app does not depend on a heavy client bundle
- It sits cleanly in front of FastAPI and PostgreSQL
What we do not use it for
This marketing site is Hugo. SvelteKit is the product we ship to clients.
SvelteKit is the front of the PWA. FastAPI and PostgreSQL sit behind it, and Docker is how we run the set.
